At the Universal Life Church, we believe in ordaining anyone who asks, regardless of their belief system. It's not our place to judge or make a determination about what the right path is for you. We're here to provide support, training, and minister supplies for all your needs.
The ULC has two tenets: the absolute right of freedom of religion and to do that, which is right. Anything else within the law is allowed.
We're here to support you in your ministry. We want to help you reach your goals with your ministry. You can start your own church, prepare to do weddings, funerals and other rites of passage. You can preach, help people at hospitals or prisons, and a lot more.

A Few Words About The ULC Seminary President
Rev. Amy Long is the current president and founder of the Universal Life Church Seminary. In 1990, she attended a brick-and-mortar seminary for a year and a half, then continued with another year of post-graduate studies, which included
In 1994, she became ordained through the Universal Life Church through the original ULC in Modesto, CA. In 1995, she started to officiate at weddings and has started working as a wedding Disc Jockey since about 1995. In 1997, she wrote and published the book 'The Ultimate Wedding & Ceremony Workbook for the 'Planning-Impaired'. This was written with wedding officiants in mind.
Following that, she published the book, 'Weddings, Funerals and Rites of Passage' with generous contributions from a variety of authors, in addition to her own work, followed by 'More Weddings, Funerals and Rites of Passage' several years later. To date, she has performed well over 650 weddings, as well as several dozen funerals, which helped her to create many of the ceremonies found in the books. She also works as a Sacramento Budget Disc Jockey, as well as being the Sacramento wedding minister.
Many years ago, she did some volunteer work with the original (and legal) owner of the ulc.org site, before the legally-debated takeover, where she created many of the packages, materials and written concepts you can see on both the original ULC Seminary site and the other (now different), and began working to improve the overall perception of the Universal Life Church by the general public. After some time, she was inspired with the concept of the ULC Seminary. She strongly believes in the importance of training and knowlege and values the input and integrity of the ULC ministers. She wanted to help them achieve their goals, wherever possible, and also wanted to share as much information with the ministers as possible.
When it became clear that her views differed sharply with those of that site's owner, she branched out on her own and launched the Seminary website.
Throughout the years, some people have looked down on the ULC because we offer ordination to people of all faiths and people with no faith at all. For those who are of a Christian faith, we have a lot of Christian materials. We also have a lot of material for Pagans of many paths, and those on a non-specific spiritual path. We have seminary degrees for Christian Ministry, Spiritual Ministry and Pagan Ministry. Our goal is education and appreciation for those who are different than us.
Thank you and welcome to the Universal Life Church Seminary.
